Drops Third Straight LEC Game KEENE, N.H. – Eastern Connecticut State University’s conference-leading three-point defense was no match for Keene State College’s diversified three-point attack as the four-time defending Little East Conference champion Owls never trailed after scoring the first 12 points of the game in a 79-72 men’s basketball verdict Thursday evening at Spaulding Gymasium.

January 6, 2026 Eastern Conn Drops Second Straight at Home WILLIMANTIC, Conn. – The Eastern Connecticut State University men’s basketball team succeeded in keeping Little East Conference free throw leader Nic Boyd of the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth from reaching the foul line, but little else went right Tuesday evening as the Warriors dropped their second conference decision in four days, 94-82, at Francis E. Geissler Gymnasium.

January 3, 2026 Beacons End Eastern Conn.'s Home Streak WILLIMANTIC, Conn. -- Steven Cordero played only five minutes and did not score a basket but came off the bench for a key steal in the final seconds, and sank an insurance free throw with 2.8 seconds left to help carry the University of Massachusetts Boston to an 83-79 Little East Conference men’s basketball victory over Eastern Connecticut State University Saturday afternoon at Francis E. Geissler Gymnasium.

December 30, 2025 Sanchez Powers Eastern Conn. to Title WILLIMANTIC, Conn. – After a comfortable first-round win over Penn College of Technology Monday evening in the first round of the Eastern Holiday Invitational men’s basketball tournament, Eastern Connecticut State University faced a real test in Nichols College in Tuesday’s championship game, finally prevailing, 77-68, to post its third title (second straight) in the five-year history of the tournament.
